Perpetrators and victims

12-2184

"The journey from Buchenwald to Terezin in April 1945 was the worst for me, because I was very ill. I don't know how we survived:  the weather was bad, it was freezing, there was no organised supervision, a shortage of food and sleep, there was ice, no toilettes, no water to drink except for rain and snow. People died and the dead and critically ill had to stay where they were lying, because we couldn't move them. Surviving the journey was a miracle - it took between 10 and 14 days!"

Memories from a death march, April 1945, Stanley Faull, a young Polish Jew.
